A couple more

Found a couple more comics I want to share.

Wallace the brave follows three close friends along with their parents and neighbors in a small fishing town. The setting works really well as a wonderful place for children to explore and get into all sorts of mischief. Adventures abound as they search the seaside for red sea glass, shoot down stray balloons over the bay, and keep the ocean clean to avoid a war with the dolphins. The small town feel and the power of friendship remind me of Hilda and her companions in Trollberg from another comic I discovered. Oh, wait, I should save that for another time.

Jessie Atwell does a comic called Tex. A suburban family that centers around the youngest child, a boy by the same name. Follow Tex and his siblings as they navigate elementary school, family vacations, and holidays. From searching for the famed Weiner mobile to obtaining x ray glasses through the mail from an outdated comic book, Tex has all the charm I remember from the penmanship of Richard Thompson’s Culdesac comic. The art style reminds me to stay loose and have fun. Maybe even a life lesson or two along the way.
